The Iowa Geospatial Data Clearinghouse was created to serve as a GIS data clearinghouse for Iowa related data. The clearinghouse under the direction of Iowa Geographic Information Council members acts as a centralized location for organizations, agencies and individuals to discover and publish data through geospatial metadata and act as a repository for geospatial data. The Iowa Geospatial Data Clearinghouse is part of an ongoing commitment by the Iowa Geographic Information Council and its members to develop the Iowa Geospatial Data Infrastruture by providing mechanisms to share, discover and publish geospatial data.
