Iowa Geographic Information CouncilIGIC is a non-profit organization which promotes the use of geographic information technologies at all levels throughout the State of Iowa, promotes the use of standards for use by the GIS community to facilitate data collection and data sharing. The Council was formed by an Executive Order in 1998 by Governor Terry E. Branstad. For more information about the Iowa Geographic Information Council visit their website at http://www.iowagic.org Iowa State University GIS Support and Research Facility The ISU GIS Facility has provided server and technical
support for the Iowa Geospatial Data Clearinghouse since 2003. They
have also provided metadata training and support to the Iowa GIS
community.

Becoming a partner of the Iowa Geospatial Data Clearinghouse is easy. Partners provide a commitment to advancing
